IoT

Internet of Things

Developments in communication networks, advances in embedded computing and the search for increasingly efficient tools to simplify and optimize professional and private activities have fostered the emergence of what is commonly referred to as IoT (Internet of Things) or IdO (Internet des objets).

For Scadalliance and its manufacturing partners, who have been investing for many years in telemetry and remote management technologies, IoT is a natural evolution of our business and an opportunity to further develop and enrich our solution portfolio.

That is why our instruments, traditional automation and supervision solutions now include connectivity:

  • with private or public LPWAN networks (long-range, low-power networks such as LoRa, Sigfox, LTE-M, NB-IoT) for data acquisition,
  • with the various servers and Cloud platforms for the centralized management and processing of this data.

These products are aimed both at local municipalities for the management of their infrastructures (water, buildings, urban equipment, energy, environment...) and at private industries wishing to improve their processes and expand their range of services (Industry 4.0, predictive maintenance...).

Scadalliance's expertise in this field, coupled with a thorough understanding of instruments and traditional automation and supervision solutions that are deeply interrelated, enables us to provide perfectly integrated solutions.

  • REDY Remote Management PLCs with embedded LoRaWAN server
  • Industrial FLEXY routers associated with the Talk2M Cloud offer and multiple IoT connectors (MQTT, OPC UA, HTTPS, etc.)
  • Standalone HWM (Intelligens, Multilog, etc.) data loggers with integrated LTE-M/NB-IoT modems
  • TRIMBLE's LoRaWAN stand-alone data loggers (MTU-41, WL-41, etc.)
  • TOPKAPI supervision software with scriptable IoT protocols (LoRa, MQTT, Sigfox. etc.)

A few examples:

  • Integration of isolated measurement points in a SCADA supervision system
  • Implementation of a Web platform to monitor the performance of machines or processes
  • Interconnection of LoRaWAN networks and traditional telemetry and control networks (cellular, fiber optic, Ethernet, WiFi, etc.)
