The rain gauge 3029 provides accurate real-time precipitation measurements in millimeters (mm or L/m²) with a resolution of 0.1, 0.2, or 0.5 mm depending on the model used.
Each time the tipping bucket tips, the system produces two dry contacts (pulses), and the measured precipitation value simply corresponds to the number of pulses recorded multiplied by the model's resolution.
The rain gauge 3029 can be coupled with a heater to measure frozen precipitation (freezing rain, snow) in difficult climatic conditions.
Very easy to use and requiring minimal maintenance, this rain gauge generates contacts that can be used by most acquisition systems.
