About Internet Explorer

(webmaster's message)

Internet Explorer is the most widely used browser on the Windows platform, although this says nothing about its quality.

Versions 5, 5.5, 5.5 SP1, 5.5 SP2 and 6 and 6 are not really compatible with each other and none of them is compliant with W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards despite the fact that Microsoft has helped develop these standards in its capacity as a member of this world-wide standards organization.

If you make a point of using Internet Explorer rather than any other browser, we do advise you to use the most recent version. You will not encounter so many oddities on the Web and you will also be helping to deploy new Web technologies, intended to provide you with pages that are lighter, more effective and accessible to the largest number of devices.

If you don't make a point of using Internet Explorer, the webmaster advice you Firefox or Netscape or Opera. You will then profit from the facilities that Explorer is unable to render.
